The restaurant closed Feb. 7, and not much was said.  It was owned by the parent organization, Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, based in Carrollton.

The company issued a one-sentence statement that it closed the restaurant following a thorough business review.

It looks  like that would have been a tough beachhead to hold for nine years — traffic access was a little tricky, signage wasn’t easy to spot. And the stretch of Slide Road from 50th Street to about a half-mile south of the Loop has just a load of restaurants — fast-food and sit-down places — which is a real distraction to a hungry gr0up in a car.
